Truck accident resulted in injuries on the transition road from State Route 60 to the 605 Freeway in Whittier

A police report by California Highway Patrol stated that on Monday, April 16th 2018, a traffic accident that involved a big rig on the transition road from State Route 60 to Interstate 605 in the city of Whittier left at least one person injured.

Moreover, at about 7:19 p.m. the vehicles involved in the accident were merging from SR-60 to I-605 when the collision occurred, according to officials.  Authorities reported that one vehicle overturned and left the party inside trapped due to the collision.

Additionally, at least one person was injured, however the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim are unknown.  Officials have not released the age or name of the injured victim yet.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
