Car crash hospitalized at least 1 person on Highway 1 north of San Andreas Rd in Watsonville

As mentioned in a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Thursday, March 29th 2018, at about 3:00 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of vehicle collision that took place on State Route 1, just north of San Andreas Road in the city of Watsonville.

Moreover, authorities stated that a black SUV rolled over while traveling southbound on SR-1 before running into a tree.  The party in the vehicle was trapped inside and had to be extracted by firefighters, according to officials.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics.  Officials have not released any additional information on the injured victim.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by authorities as they work to determine the exact cause of the collision.  Further details will be made available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
