Car crash leaves vehicle overturned on the 101 Freeway off-ramp near University Ave. in East Palo Alto

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, April 20th 2018, at about 7:44 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that left one vehicle overturned on the off-ramp of the northbound US-101 freeway just south of University Ave. in East Palo Alto.

Furthermore, authorities stated that a grey Toyota Prius and a silver four-door sedan were travelling northbound on the University Ave. off-ramp when the accident occurred.  The slow lane of the off-ramp was blocked by the overturned vehicle as authorities waited for towing services to clear the scene in order to restore traffic to normal.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
