Football theft triggers traffic collision in Los Angeles

A five car traffic collision occurred on Hollywood Highway near North Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles at approximately 2:09 PM on Monday, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

A teal Kia Rio, green Infiniti, yellow Toyota Prius, white pickup truck, and fifth vehicle of unknown make and model were involved in the collision, according to sources. It is currently believed that two occupants from a vehicle involved in the crash stole a football from another vehicle involved which caused the multiple car crash, according to the report.

Moreover, at least one person was injured in the accident, according to authorities. The injured persons received medical attention at the scene and were later transported to a hospital.

The identity of the persons involved in the accident is currently not known. It is also unknown whether or not the vehicles involved in the accident had other passengers at the time of the collision.

The investigation into this accident is still ongoing. Further details will be released as it becomes available to the public.
