Hit-and-run on Highway 580 near the Greenville Rd off-ramp left at least one person injured

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Saturday, February 17th 2018, at about 9:32 a.m. at least one person was injured by a hit-and-run crash that involved several vehicles on the 580 Freeway just east of the Greenville Road off-ramp in the city of Livermore.

Moreover, as mentioned in the police report the reporting party called authorities once it got struck by an unknown vehicle that was traveling westbound on the 580 Freeway.  As a result of the initial wreck other vehicles crashed into the reporting party’s vehicle, said CHP.

In addition, authorities report that when they arrived on scene a gold Toyota Camry a Chevy Camero a Ford Escort a minivan and an unknown vehicle were involved in the hit-and-run.  As cited by CHP, at least one person sustained injuries from the hit-and-run, however authorities do not have word on the severity of the injuries.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by authorities as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision.  Further details will be available once officials have concluded their investigation.
