Traffic collision resulted in injuries on the 80 Freeway near Treasure Island in San Francisco

As mentioned by a California Highway Patrol police report, on Wednesday April 18th 2018, at about 10:54 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that took place on Interstate 80, at the Treasure Island Road off-ramp in the city of San Francisco.

Moreover, authorities reported that a red Mercedes-Benz and a red sports vehicle were traveling eastbound on I-80 when the collision occurred.  The accident caused damages to sound barrels that were on the interstate, according to CHP.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not released any additional information on the injured party.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
