Big rig was rear-ended in a traffic collision in Ontario
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Thursday, April 12th 2018, at about 2:51 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving a big rig and two additional vehicles on the eastbound of Interstate 10 and Vineyard Avenue in the city of Ontario.
In addition, the report stated that a big rig, white vehicle and an additional vehicle not described by authorities were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. Moreover, the traffic collision began when the big rig was rear-ended as a result, the white vehicle suffered major front end damage, according to CHP.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by officials.
Furthermore, there was at least one person injured as a result of the crash and paramedics arrived shortly after the incident occurred to transport the injured parties to a nearby medical facility. In addition, the identity of the injured person or persons has not been released yet, according to officials. It is also unknown whether or not there were passengers in the vehicles involved in the crash.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
