A two car collision causes a fire and at least one victim injured in Palmdale
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials responded to the fiery aftermath of a two car collision on Pearblossom Highway just east of Sierra Highway in Palmdale on Tuesday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.
Initial reports stated that there was smoke coming from a two car collision at approximately 1:32 PM, however the situation was escalated and LA County Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of the accident. The accident blocked all lanes of traffic according to the report.
There was at least one injury as a result of the crash and paramedics arrived shortly after the incident occurred to transport the injured parties to a nearby medical facility. The identity of the injured person or persons has not been released yet, according to officials. It is also unknown whether or not there were other passengers in the two vehicles involved in the crash.
The investigation into this crash is still ongoing. Further details will be made available as soon as it is released to the public.
