All lanes are opened just before 7 a.m. traffic

According to a recent article from BakersfieldNow.com, there was a major injury traffic accident that took place on Wednesday morning along Highway 99 that involved two semi-trucks.

As mentioned in the report, the accident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. north of White Lane where two big rig trucks crashed into each other after slowing down for utility company workers that were working in the area right before the accident.

According to California Highway Patrol, the two big rigs crashed, causing one driver to be trapped inside his vehicle.  As a result, authorities had to free the trapped victim, who suffered major injuries from the collision.

The victim’s name was not mentioned in the report, and it was unclear whether or not anyone else was injured.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.

Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
