One dead and one arrested in a DUI car collision in San Luis Obispo County

According to keyt.com, a man was killed Sunday afternoon when a car crashed while traveling northbound on Creston Road, north of state Route 41.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a vehicle was going at an unknown speed on Sunday afternoon when it made an unsafe turn toward the east shoulder of Creston road, north of state Route 41, and it lost control.

Additionally, the vehicle, identified as an Expedition, came to a rest on the east shoulder of Creston Road after it had rolled over multiple times.

Authorities report the passenger of the Expedition, identified as Artemio V. Pacheco, of Shandon, was pronounced dead after the trauma of the car crash.

Additionally, report states the driver, identified as 26-year-old Eusebio Ruizluis, was injured and taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment for minor scrapes and cuts.

Ruizluis was later booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for felony DUI and felony vehicular manslaughter
