Bicyclist undergoing treatment at hospital after collision

According to recent news from the Orange County Register, there was a car crash with a bicyclist on Monday, June 19th, at the intersection of Manchester and Katella Avenues.

Per the article, Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt reported that the accident occurred around 2:05 a.m.

As mentioned by the article, there was a transient riding a bike and hauling another bicycle before he was struck by the driver.

Furthermore, paramedics arrived on scene and had to transport the man to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were stated to be non-life threatening.

As for the driver who struck the cyclist, police mentioned that he remained at the scene and was cooperative with police during their initial interrogation.

Currently, the name of the injured party and the driver was withheld pending the notification of next-of-kin.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation and additional details will be reported at a later time.
