Speeding motorist and three passengers killed after car accident in Northridge

According to a recent article, a fiery collision took place last Friday night in Northridge when a BMW crashed into a tree and burst into flames, killing four young lives.

Authorities identified the victims as Martin Gomez, 20, Denney Lomeli, 20, Amanda Alfar, 22, and Leena Ammari, 21.  Reportedly, the young victims were best friends, according to the source.  Gomez was identified as the driver behind the wheel, and allegedly, the young adults were involved in a street race with another unknown vehicle, and their BMW was speeding “in excess of 100 mph,” said police.

There was a surveillance video released by authorities of a black sedan seen speeding down Lassen Street shortly before the crash just east of Balboa Boulevard.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.

Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
