Two children later died at Children’s Hospital Oakland

According to an article from SFGate, there was a fatal car accident that took place on Wednesday night at 55th Avenue and International Boulevard.

As detailed by police and fire officials, the accident took place at about 8:45 p.m. when two vehicles collided into one another.  The vehicles were shown to be a dark blue vehicle and a Nissan sedan.

As the pictures show, the blue vehicle, either a Scion or Kia model, was badly damaged and collapsed in on itself.

As a result of the crash, two children were transported by ambulance to Children’s Hospital Oakland, where they later passed away, said the Oakland Police Department.

Furthermore, two adult drivers suffered severe injuries and were rushed to a medical facility.  As of Thursday, their condition was listed as ‘stable.’

Currently, there were no names listed in the article, pending the notification of family members.

Further information will be relayed as it is determined in the investigation that is underway by authorities.
