Fatal car accident on the 5 Freeway south of Via De La Valle in Del Mar killed a La Mesa 27-year-old man
According to an article by Fox 5 News, on Tuesday, November 14th 2018, at about 2:30 a.m. a 27-year-old La Mesa man was killed as a result of a traffic accident that took place on Interstate 5, just south of Via De La Valle in the city of La Mesa.
Furthermore, authorities reported that the 27-year-old man was driving a Toyota when he struck the center divider, and he then walked over to the shoulder of the highway before his vehicle got struck by a Mercedes. The 27-year-old man then decided to walk back to his vehicle when he got struck by a Jeep, as mentioned by Fox 5 News.
Additionally, the 27-year-old La Mesa man died before he could be taken to a hospital, said officials. Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity.
Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
