Toyota Corolla slams into concrete wall, killing passenger

According to KCRA News, a driver and his passenger were killed in a fatal car crash early Monday morning at Sunrise and Fair Oaks Boulevard in a single-vehicle car accident.

As mentioned in the article, the solo-vehicle car accident occurred just before 2:00 a.m. near Sunrise and Fair oaks boulevards when a Toyota Corolla crashed right into a concrete wall.

Authorities responded to the accident and located the driver and passenger conscious and breathing, although they were trapped inside the mangled Toyota.

After being extricated from the car wreck, the 22-year-old Sacramento passenger died soon after.  Additionally, the 24-year-old driver of the car was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  Their names were withheld from the report.

Moreover, California Highway Patrol stated that the driver was suspected of driving under the influence, and that the passenger was discovered to be not wearing his seat belt.

Currently, the traffic collision is being investigated by the authorities, and further information will be relayed at a later time.
