Victim hit right after being dropped off at school

According to an article from the Orange County Register, there was a pedestrian-vehicle collision in the area near San Juan Hills High School on Tuesday, Nov. 28, when a 14-year-old boy was struck and critically injured by a car.

The incident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. as school was beginning and as students were arriving on campus, when suddenly the 14-year-old boy was struck in the turnabout on Via Pamplona, said sources.  His name was withheld from the article pending the notification of next-of-kin.

Authorities from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded to the incident and held the driver at the scene for their investigation of the crash.

Allegedly, local residents have had concerns about the campus road and have started requesting a crossing guard for Stallion Ridge.

The current medical condition of the injured victim was not relayed in the article.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reported at a later time.

From our office, we sincerely hope that the 14-year-old boy and hope that he can undergo an extensive recovery from this unfortunate incident.
