Hit-and-run on the corner of E Julian St and N 17th St in San Jose left 12-year-old girl hospitalized

According to an article by ABC 7 News, on Wednesday, March 14th 2018, at about 8:47 a.m. a 12-year-old girl was injured as a result of a hit-and-run collision that took place on the intersection of East Julian Street and North 17th Street in San Jose.

Furthermore, authorities reported that a woman in a Toyota Camry was making a left turn on to Julian St when she hit the 12-year-old girl that was crossing the street.  The girl was knocked down but climbed back up to her knees as the the vehicle that hit her took off, as stated by officials.  The driver of the Camry is believed to be a woman in her 40’s or 50’s, as mentioned by ABC 7 News.

Additionally, the 12-year-old girl was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics, however the condition of the injured girl are unknown.  Authorities have not yet released the name of the injured victim at this time.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
