1 killed after he is hit by an intoxicated driver at the intersection of Eureka Street and Union Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to Bakersfield Now, the accident occurred on Thursday night when a man walking across Eureka Street was hit by a vehicle going northbound on Union Avenue.
Officers reported that they found a man in the roadway with major injuries who later died in the hospital, as mentioned in the article. The driver was determined to be under the influence during the time of the collision and was taken into custody and booked into the Kern County jail.
