Andrew Dorian Milonis, 44, found responsible for the death of pregnant mother in DUI-related crash
According to a recent article from KTLA, there was a deadly crash that occurred on Mother’s Day in which a 29-year-old Ramona mother was killed alongside her unborn child in San Diego County.
Per the article, the crash occurred at about 6:35 p.m. on Sunday evening when the alleged DUI driver, Andrew Dorian Milonis, 44, was found to be traveling eastward on San Vicente Road in a 2011 GMC Yukon SUV.
Milonis rear-ended a 2016 Dodge Dart being driven by the victim, Jessica Foderingham, said the CHP.
Furthermore, the rear-end collision caused an impact so great that it forced the victim’s vehicle to crash into the center median and eventually into a tree, said the report.
Authorities arrived at the scene and paramedics rushed the expectant mother to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Roderingham was 8 months pregnant and tragically, the unborn daughter did not survive, according to officials.
CHP states that after the collision, Milonis allegedly fled the scene in his SUV and stopped to park it at the Riviera Oaks Resort before ordering a Lyft to drive off.
A witness working at the resort was able to identify the suspect and contacted the Sheriff’s deputies in the area, who tracked down the suspect. Milonis was found and arrested at a bar off Main Street, and subsequently booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of DUI, vehicular manslaughter, and hit-and-run, according to inmate records.
