Big rig overturned in a two-vehicle collision
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Wednesday, May 2nd 2018, at about 6:22 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving two vehicles on the westbound of Interstate 80 and Waterman Boulevard Off-Ramp in the city of Fairfield.
In addition, the report stated that a green Honda Civic and a big rig were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. Moreover, the big rig overturned on the right shoulder and has major roof damage, as stated by officials.
The Waterman Boulevard off-ramp was blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.
Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
