Car accident hospitalized at least 1 person on Interstate 80 east of Manuel Campos Pkwy in Fairfield
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, April 15th 2018, at 6:44 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that involved several vehicles took place on Interstate 80, just east o f Manuel Campos Parkway in the city of Fairfield.
Furthermore, authorities did not give a description of the vehicles, but did mention that five vehicles were traveling westbound on I-80 when the collision occurred. The accident caused one of the vehicles to overturn and another ended up facing the wrong-way of the interstate, as stated by CHP.
In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash. Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
