Motorcyclist and at least one other person were injured in a traffic collision in Santa Clara
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Thursday, April 19th 2018, at about 5:33 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving several vehicles on the southbound of U.S. 101 and De La Cruz Boulevard in the city of Santa Clara.
In addition, the report stated that a grey Nissan sedan and a Yamaha motorcycle were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision on lane No. 1. Moreover, a separate incident occurred and a silver Honda SUV were involved in a single-vehicle collision, as stated by officials.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.
Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
