Car crash on Highway 1 near Highway 101 in Lompoc kills one person and injures three others
According to a local news article, on Friday morning, April 20th, 2018, at about 5:56 am, a car collision occurred on Highway 1 near Highway 101 in Lompoc, killing one person and injuring three others.
In addition, emergency personnel arrived on the scene to find one person dead and three others hurt with major injuries, mentioned the report.
Furthermore, two of the patients were flown to Cottage Health Hospital and the third patient was ground transported to the same hospital, stated the authorities.
As mentioned, all involved parties were in their 30’s.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
