2 people hospitalized ensuing train collision on Harvard Ave near Irvine Center Dr in Irvine
According to a local news article by OnSceneTV, on Wednesday, April 25th 2018, a traffic accident that involved a train on the rail road tracks on Harvard Avenue in the city of Irvine injured at least one person.
Moreover, at about 6:52 p.m. two vehicles got into a collision with a train on Harvard Ave, according to officials. Authorities described the vehicles involved in the accident as a newer model blue BMW SUV and a grey Honda sedan.
Additionally, two people were transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics, however the severity of the injuries sustained by the victims are unknown. Officials have not released the age or name of the injured party yet.
Currently, this incident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision. Further details will be made available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
