One injured in car collision on 680 Freeway and Berryessa Road in San Jose
According to a local news report, on Wednesday morning, April 18th, 2018, around 5:30 am, a car collision occurred on 680 Freeway and Berryessa Road in San Jose, injuring one person.
In addition, the motorist who hit the pedestrian called the California Highway Patrol to report the crash, reported the officials. The motorist remained at the scene until the authorities arrived, mentioned the report.
Moreover, emergency personnel arrived on the scene and found the pedestrian with major injuries, stated the authorities.
Paramedics performed CPR on the victim before being transported to a local hospital for treatment, stated the officials.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.
In addition, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by medical personnel. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
