Pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle
According to a news report from CBS Sacramento, on Sunday, April 1st 2018, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Vanessa Julian, 34, a resident of Modesto was killed after being struck by a vehicle on North 9th Street near Carver Road in the city of Modesto.
Furthermore, the article reported that Julian was pushing her bicycle on an unmarked crosswalk across North 9th Street when a car struck her. The vehicle was being driven by Louis Bowman, 27, resident of Modesto. Bowman stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, as stated by the news article.
In addition, the pedestrian was transported to the nearest hospital by paramedics and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
