Double fatality ensuing possible street racing in Gardena
Two victims were killed in a deadly, fiery car wreck on 13000 Crenshaw Boulevard in the city of Gardena on Wednesday night, according to a news report from Ktla.
The accident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on April 4th 2018, reported the article. A single vehicle was speeding north on Crenshaw Boulevard. After losing control, the vehicle jumped a curb, hit a pole then veered off the roadway and slammed into Ramda Metal Specialties building, as stated by the article. Moreover, bystanders were hoping to rescue the men however the vehicle exploded and burst into flames which resulted to death, says the news report.
In addition, the northbound lanes of Crenshaw Boulevard was shut down, according to the report. The identities of the deceased victims were not named publicly, pending the notification of family first.
Furthermore, the article stated that investigators believe that speed was a factor in the incident and they are looking into whether the vehicle was possibly racing another car before the crash happened.
