Motorcyclist hospitalized after car accident on the 80 Freeway east of Ashby Ave in Emeryville
As mentioned in a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Monday, March 19th 2018, at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on Interstate 80, just east of Ashby Avenue in the city of Emeryville.
Furthermore, authorities reported that a red Mitsubishi Galant and a black motorcycle were traveling westbound on I-80 when the collision occurred. The motorcyclist was found laying on the ground in the center divider awake but crying, as stated by CHP.
In addition, the motorcyclist was transported to a near hospital by paramedics, however it the severity of the injuries sustained by the rider are unknown. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured victim at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash. Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
