At least 1 person hospitalized ensuing a vehicle pile up on Highway 91 near Pioneer Blvd in Artesia
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, March 18th 2018, at about 10:29 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that involved several vehicles on State Route 91 near Pioneer Boulevard in the city of Artesia.
Moreover, officials did not give a full description of the vehicles, but did mention that a Honda Civic, a big rig and three other vehicles were traveling west bound before the collision occurred. The big rig was fully loaded with about 75,000 LBS of produce and grocery items at the time of the accident, as stated by CHP.
Additionally, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Officials have not yet released any information on the injured victims at this time.
Currently, this incident is undergoing review as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision. Further details will be available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
