Infant girl dead after deadly accident on Sierra Highway
According to recent news, there was a one-year-old girl who was killed and four others were injured after a Chevrolet Trailblazer crashed in a single-car accident on Sierra Highway at Red Rover Mine Road on Thursday morning.
The accident occurred around 6:20 a.m., sources said, near the Red Rover Mine Road exit on the 14 Freeway. Authorities determined that a black Chevrolet Trailblazer lost control and crashed into a dirt embankment before overturning several times.
As a result, police stated that a 1-year-old girl was ejected out of the vehicle, and due to the nature of her injuries, emergency personnel had to provide CPR to the small child before she was transported to a hospital by helicopter.
The 1-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries at Antelope Valley Hospital, where she died shortly after. Her name was not mentioned in the article pending the notification of her family.
Additionally, authorities also mentioned that the driver, a 37-year-old woman, as well as two 8-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy, were all hospitalized with major injuries following the accident.
