Vehicle smashes into a tree, but not before crashing through a fence

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, an unknown SUV traveling southbound on the Redwood 101 Highway struck a fence on the right side of the Rohnert Park Expressway exit, which led the vehicle to collide with a tree.

When authorities arrived on scene at 8:23 p.m. the vehicle was left alone and still attached to the tree. The driver and the passenger, which were both male, ran into a local Budget Inn. The SUV did require a tow truck to detach it from the tree, according to the report.

Moreover, the police report stated that there was at least one injured party involved in the collision, although it was not clear who sustained the injuries.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
