Long Beach, CA – One Hurt in Apartment Fire on Cherry Ave

Long Beach, CA (November 5, 2019) – One person was injured in an apartment fire that took place on Sunday morning, November 3rd, in Long Beach. The fire broke out inside of a two-story building located along the 6200 block of Cherry Avenue.

According to officials, firefighters were promptly dispatched to the scene at around 9:11 a.m. The flames tore through the second floor and responders were able to extinguish the blaze by 9:23 a.m.

Emergency medical professionals verified that one individual was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries. Neither the current condition nor the identity of the victim was reported.

The cause of the fire is presently under investigation.
