Whittier, CA – Update on One Killed & Several Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 605 Fwy SB

Whittier, CA (November 5, 2019) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that left several others injured on Saturday, October 26th. The identity of the deceased victim has now been released by authorities.

Police stated that 34-year-old Marcus Hernandez lost his life in the crash that occurred around 5:00 a.m. along the 605 Freeway in Whittier. Approximately five or six vehicles were involved in the crash south of Peck Road.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene alongside officers with the California Highway Patrol. Paramedics worked to assist the injured victims although Hernandez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The collision currently remains under investigation.
