Venice, CA (February 8, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that happened in Venice on Friday, February 7th. The crash was reported around 7:35 p.m. in the 700 block of Venice Boulevard.
According to reports, 91-year-old Orson Bean was walking on Venice Boulevard, near Shell Avenue and Pisani Place when he was struck by a vehicle. Bean was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene following the collision. The driver’s information has not been released and it is unclear at this time what may have caused the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
