Santa Barbara, CA (October 26, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of a fatal head-on crash in Santa Barbara on Friday, October 25th. The crash took place around 4:45 p.m. on Highway 154, near Cold Spring Bridge.

According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling westbound on Highway 154 when, for unknown reasons, the car veered across the double yellow line and went into the eastbound lanes. While in the eastbound lanes, the Camaro collided head-on with a sedan.

When rescue workers arrived, they located the victims. Two children were pronounced dead at the scene. The male Camaro driver was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with life-threatening injuries. At this time, there is no word on what caused the Camaro to travel left of center.

An investigation is ongoing.
