San Diego, CA – Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Logan Heights Hit-and-Run

San Diego, CA (October 12, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after getting hit by an automobile at the intersection of Ocean View Boulevard and Bancroft Street. The accident took place on Friday, October 11th around 5:45 a.m. in the Logan Heights neighborhood.

According to reports, a 61-year-old man was crossing Ocean View Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Bancroft. Rescue workers responded to the scene and located the unidentified victim lying in the roadway. The man sustained a fractured spine and a broken leg in the crash. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police say that the driver left the scene after the crash and there is an ongoing search for the suspect at this time. No additional details have been released.
