The victim was pronounced deceased at the location of the incident. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the victim at this time.
Figures released by the California Office of Traffic Safety showed that fatal pedestrian accidents in California rose by at least 32.8 percent from 2012 to 2016. Auto-pedestrian crashes are continually catastrophic due to the serious vulnerability of victims alongside the imprudent actions of remiss drivers.
