Oxnard, CA – Update: Police Release Identity of Bicyclist Killed at Saviers & Bard Rds

Oxnard, CA (October 16, 2019) – Authorities have released the identity of the man who died three days after an accident at the intersection of Saviers and Bard Roads in Oxnard. Police confirmed that Bino Conde, 43, of Oxnard, succumbed to his injuries Saturday, October 12th, following the Wednesday afternoon collision.

Conde was standing beside his bicycle on a sidewalk when a 2017 Nissan Versa, operated by an unidentified 88-year-old female, attempted a left turn onto Bard Road at around 1:00 p.m. The Nissan collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by an unidentified 23-year-old man. The Silverado overturned due to the impact of the crash and struck Conde.

The victim was rushed to a hospital where he remained before dying on Saturday. Both drivers were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the Bino Conde at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of their full recovery.

Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in California

Due to the extreme vulnerability of the victim at the time of impact, pedestrians are at a higher risk of suffering serious or even fatal injuries during an accident with a motor vehicle. In fact, pedestrian accidents in California have been reported to make up 11 percent of all California motor vehicle accident deaths.

Unfortunately, fatal accidents can occur at any time, subsequently leaving loved ones with not only the pain and suffering of losing a family member but extremely high expenses as well. While it may be difficult, it is important for both victims or a bereaved family to understand that they likely have significant rights at this time.

At The May Firm, our accident attorneys are committed to holding negligent and blatantly criminal drivers accountable for the devastation they cause.
