Orange, CA (January 22, 2020) – Authorities have now released the identity of the man who was tragically struck and killed by a motor vehicle in Orange on Tuesday evening, January 14th. Police stated that 51-year-old Gilberto Marin Andrade, of Orange, was killed in the collision that occurred at the intersection of Meats Avenue and Nordic Street.

According to officials, Andrade was attempting to walk across the intersection when he was struck by an unspecified vehicle a little after 6:00 p.m. Emergency crews arrived at the scene where the victim was sadly pronounced deceased minutes later.

The operator of the vehicle remained in the area following the incident and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
