Fatal Oceanside Motorcycle Crash

In 2016, California experienced 548 deaths due to motorcycle crashes. This number represented an increase from 494 deaths in the year prior. Motorcycles account for about 15% of all traffic fatalities throughout the state. Motorcycle riders are at great risk of death or serious bodily injury when they are involved in crashes.

Many motorcycle collisions take place due to the negligence of other motorists. In this case, it appears as though an illegal driving maneuver caused the crash to occur. In such situations, the motorcyclist’s family could potentially file a wrongful death claim. Under California law, these claims are available when an innocent victim is killed due to driver negligence.
