Morongo Valley, CA – Police Identify Pedestrian Struck & Killed on Hwy 62

Morongo Valley, CA (January 28, 2020) – Police responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian collision that was reported in Morongo Valley on Friday evening, January 24th. Authorities have now released the identity of the victim. According to officers, Joshua Alexander, 28, of Pine Grove, was struck and killed on Highway 62 at approximately 10:15 p.m. that night.

Local officials stated that Alexander was walking east alongside State Route 62 when he was struck by a 1992 Nissan pickup truck. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene in the vicinity of East Drive where they found the victim lying down in the roadway. Alexander was pronounced deceased a short time later.

A further investigation into this incident is being conducted by authorities.
