Between 2012 and 2016, pedestrian accidents in California rose by approximately 32.8 percent, according to examiners with the California Office of Traffic Safety. These types of collisions commonly result in death not only because of the utter defenselessness of the victim but also due to the actions of distracted or blatantly reckless motorists. While it may be undeniably difficult, it is important for victims and their families to protect their rights following a collision.
