He was pronounced deceased two days later.

The motorist involved, who has only been identified as a 19-year-old resident of Los Angeles, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with authorities. The driver is not expected to face any charges.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of George Georgoulis at this time.

Fatal Bicycle Accidents in Long Beach

At this time, three bicyclists are among the 20 individuals who have died in Long Beach motor vehicle-related accidents so far in 2019. Bicycle accidents in California tend to be so deadly due to the sheer lack of protection in place for riders at the time of impact. While it can be undoubtedly challenging, it is important for family members to understand that they have substantial rights protected by law.

Unfortunately, catastrophic and even fatal accidents can occur at nearly any time, leaving victims and their loved ones with not only pain and suffering but extremely high expenses as well. Many victims and their family members will seek compensation to assist with these expenses, which are generally related to funeral costs and loss of income.

At The May Firm, our accident attorneys are committed to holding negligent and blatantly criminal drivers accountable for the devastation they cause. If you have lost a loved one in a bicycle accident because of a reckless, criminal, or otherwise negligent driver, please don’t hesitate to call (844) 629-3476 or leave us a message to schedule a free consultation today.
