Long Beach, CA – Girl Critically Hurt After Being Hit by Tesla at Gas Station

Long Beach, CA (January 19, 2020) – A Long Beach teenager sustained serious injuries when she was struck by a car outside of a gas station on Saturday, January 18th at around 11:25 a.m.

Police responded to the Chevron gas station near the intersection of Alamitos Avenue and East Broadway after receiving calls regarding the crash. According to reports, a Tesla hit the girl before crashing into several other vehicles in the parking lot. The girl was lying on the ground when rescue workers arrived. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The female Tesla driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time and no further details are available.
