Long Beach, CA (March 24, 2020) – A woman has been taken into custody on suspicion of DUI after she struck two pedestrians along Del Amo Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon, March 24th. The incident was reported in the vicinity of Locust Avenue at around 12:40 p.m., according to police officials.
Authorities stated that a woman driving a Dodge Caravan crashed into two men who were standing outside of their vehicles alongside the roadway at the time. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they transported both injured men to a nearby hospital. One victim was reported in critical condition as the other has been reported as stable at this time.
Officers said that the woman in the Caravan initially fled the area but was apprehended a short time later. No further details were reported.
