Lancaster, CA – Update: Authorities Identify Injured Driver on Antelope Valley Fwy

Lancaster, CA (January 17, 2020) – On the night of Wednesday, January 15th, police responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian collision in Lancaster that also left a motorist with injuries. Authorities have now identified the injured driver as Kylie Blackmore, 26, of Rosamond.

According to officials, a pedestrian was struck by a passing 2013 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Blackmore, along the Antelope Valley Freeway at around 11:57 p.m. The pedestrian was attempting to cross the freeway to the center divider when they were struck.

First responders were dispatched to the scene where the still unidentified pedestrian was pronounced deceased. Blackmore was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital to be treated for chest pain and face lacerations. The investigation is ongoing.
