Lancaster, CA (January 16, 2020) – Just shortly before midnight, at around 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday night, January 15th, a pedestrian was reported to have been struck by a vehicle along the Antelope Valley Freeway (I-14) in Lancaster. Officials with the California Highway Patrol said that the incident occurred near Avenue I.
Police immediately responded to the scene of the collision where an unidentified person was struck by a vehicle. Responders tragically pronounced the victim deceased at the scene but have not provided any further details concerning the identity of the pedestrian or the vehicle involved.
Authorities with the CHP are actively in charge of the investigation into the events that led to this incident.
