Huntington Beach, CA (April 3, 2020) – A man on a bicycle was sadly struck and killed by a motor vehicle in Huntington Beach, according to authorities. The incident was reported on Wednesday morning, April 1st, at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Officials with the Huntington Beach Police Department stated that a male bicyclist was riding in the area of Yorktown Avenue and Vasile Circle when he was hit by a silver 2016 Honda Pilot. Emergency crews responded to the scene where the victim was tragically pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle remained in the area and police have not released any identities at this time. The official cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Most bicyclists who were fatally struck by vehicles were shown to be males over the age of 40-years-old, according to researchers.
