Fontana, CA (February 8, 2020) – Two people suffered injuries when a garbage truck collided with a car in Fontana. The crash happened on Friday, February 7th around 5:06 p.m. at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Whittram Avenue.
According to authorities, the garbage truck collided with a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck. After hitting the Chevy, the garbage truck then collided with a pole.
Rescue workers had to extricate the garbage truck driver. He was rushed to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with major injuries. The driver of the Chevy was transported to a local area hospital minor injuries.
The cause of the crash has not been revealed. No additional details are available at this time.
