Riding a motorcycle in California is a potentially very dangerous activity. With the highest rate of fatalities among all types of vehicles, motorcycles can pose a risk to all riders, even those who operate the motorcycle carefully and in accordance with all safety guidelines and restrictions. Crashes can take place due to other motorists who are not paying attention to the roadway or who are otherwise negligent, and the results are often catastrophic.
